What are the adjustment methods for the discharge particle size of jaw crusher?

The adjustment device of jaw crusher is the adjustment mechanism of ore discharge size of jaw crusher. 

In order to achieve the standard of product particle size, the adjustment device is needed and necessary, and the discharge size should be adjusted regularly. 


The following are the adjustment methods of jaw crushers discharge size:


1. Hydraulic Adjustment

Nowadays, there are hydraulic device installed as the adjustment equipment to adjust the  jaw crusher discharge size. When debris enters the crushing chamber, in order to avoid damage to the crusher, the rear thrust plate is used as the protective device of the crusher. The jaw crusher adopts hydraulic protection device, which is reliable and stable, easy to eliminate faults, and also adjust the discharge size opening.

 

2. Shim Adjustment

Open the adjusting seat with jacking bolts, to add or remove a group of gaskets with the same thickness between the rear thrust plate support seat and the rear wall of the rack. By adding or reducing the number of gasket layers, the discharge port of the crusher is reduced or increased. The shim adjustment method is simple and effective. It is an effective method to quickly adjust the discharging size.

 

3. Support Device Adjustment

The supporting device of jaw crusher is mainly used to support eccentric shaft and suspension shaft to make them stable on the frame. The supporting device can use roller bearings and rolling bearings. Large and medium-sized jaw crushers usually use sliding bearings cast with tungsten cobalt cemented carbide, which can withstand large impact loads and are relatively wear-resistant, but the rotation efficiency is low, and forced lubrication is required.

At present, the rolling bearing has gradually replaced the sliding bearing, which not only reduces the friction loss, but also has the advantages of easy maintenance, good lubrication conditions and not easy oil leakage.

Support device adjustment can also control the discharge size opening.

 

4. Wedge Adjustment

The wedge adjustment of jaw crusher mainly relies on the relative movement of the two wedges between the support seat of the rear thrust plate and the rear wall of the support to adjust the size of the ore discharge opening of jaw crusher. The nut on the bolt makes the wedge move up or down along the rear wall of the rack, drives the front wedge to move forward or backward, and pushes the thrust plate or movable jaw, so as to achieve the adjustment of discharge size opening.
